Yesterday we unveiled a new project in partnership with Modern Hydrogen: Equipment designed by Modern Hydrogen and installed at our Southeast Portland facility is generating hydrogen on site while capturing solid carbon. The hydrogen is blended with natural gas and delivered via our existing infrastructure, while solid carbon can be used in performance-enhancing asphalt products. Clean hydrogen and captured carbon offer a promising option to help decarbonize our system while delivering safe, reliable and affordable energy for NW Natural customers. “People are eager for solutions that can be put into action today, and we’re proud to play our part,” said NW Natural CEO David Anderson. https://lnkd.in/guwDSd2B

We are proud of our partnership with Homes for Good and Eugene Mission, and this project provides additional comfort to vulnerable residents through new energy-efficient upgrades and brings air conditioning to the Eugene Mission for the first time.
Over the past two years, Homes for Good's Energy Services Division has successfully worked to transform energy efficiency of the Eugene Mission . This wouldn’t have been possible without the support Oregon Housing & Community Services (OHCS) and NW Natural . A special shout-out to our Energy Services Director, Esteban Montero Chacon, for leading the project, as well as @Sheryl Baltrop , the Executive Director of the Eugene Mission, @David Van Der Haeghen from Northwest Natural, and @Marc Hashagen of Homes for Good. Without their hard work and leadership, this project would not have been possible. Let's continue making a difference together. Join us in our mission to create positive change in our community! https://lnkd.in/gn7n6JwQ

14 homes in Portland’s Cully neighborhood are safer, more comfortable and energy-efficient thanks to a collaboration between the Oregon Energy Fund, Burch Energy, and NW Natural. A new OEF initiative – funded by NW Natural’s Oregon Low Income Energy Efficiency program – provided new high-efficiency furnaces, appliances and weatherization at no cost to homeowners in Agape Square, a Habitat for Humanity neighborhood.
